In Memoriam
William Jason Marshall
1975 - 2011
At 11 am on May 27, 2011, William "Suge" Marshall was killed in his front yard while
getting his mail. An intoxicated 18-year-old driver lost control of his vehicle
while trying to pass another car. He entered William's front yard and struck him,
carrying him into the neighbor's yard and fatally injuring him. William left two
young boys, Jay and Jamal, who are now in the care of their mother, a strong and
wonderful woman who has been battling terminal cancer for the past year.
Known as "Suge" to fellow club members, William was an avid motorcyclist and
president of the Dirty South Rydaz Motorcycle Club in Memphis, Tennessee. The club
members have been a source of support and comfort for the family in their time of
loss and are orchestrating a benefit for Suge's children on Saturday, June 4, at
the Celtic Crossing.
The benefit runs from 5 pm to 9 pm. A $10 donation is requested
for admission, all of which goes into a trust fund for the boys. Food and beverage
are free while they last. Instructions for club members are listed below.
